Simply pump the water from the pond into the container. Pond water will be filtered as it passes out of the container and aerated as it falls over the edge and back into the pond.

There are several configurations for set-up depending on how much work you want your system to do:


1. BEST: Pro Skimmer pulls leaves and debris off the top of the pond. It sits at the edge of the pond at surface height. It contains a submerged pump to move water out of the skimmer. From there, water goes through a pond filter with UV, out to the back of the waterfall, is filtered again and aerated as water spills over the edge back into the pond. This is a truly maintenance-free system with crystal clear water.
   
   
2. GOOD: From submerged pump through filter with UV, out to the back of the waterfall where it is filtered again and aerated as water spills over the edge back into the pond. No leaf skimmer, but excellent filtration.
   
   
3. OK: From submerged pump to the back of the waterfall where water is filtered and aerated as water spills over the edge back into the pond. No leaf skimmer, no primary filtration. No UV sterilizer. Moderate filtration and moderate maintenance.

The most efficient flow rate is 50% of total pond volume. The UV Clarifier is not submersible and should be brought in during the winter months when temperatures are at or below freezing.
